The restaurant franchise Côte Brasserie was founded in 2007 and has more than 80 restaurants spanning across the UK. MJ Electrical provided new electrical infrastructure for a large-scale industrial kitchen production for sole use for Côte, which is known as their ‘Central Kitchen’.

Our electrical scope of works involved liaising with UKPN on the installation of a new 2MVA Midel DYN11 unit transformer system, including transformer mounted
250A MV isolator/VT connection and 3200A 4P ACB. We, MJ Electrical then undertook the supply & install of a new Main switch LV panel, including the incoming cabling & metering from the upgraded UKPN supply. The new main LV switch panel which included micro-logic switching and sub-metering with built in remote access for external monitoring.

Throughout the building we supplied & installed a total of 30no 3-Phase sub-distribution boards which distributed power supplies to large industrial cooking appliances / mechanical plant such as AHUs, FCUs, Blast Chillers Refrigeration Units etc. New earthing and bonding, including new earthing network to UKPN specification installed. All new LED lighting installed at high- and low-level areas suitable for various types of environments. General power installed for office use equipment, low voltage kitchen applications & general use equipment for the public. New ELV and LV containment systems installed. New L1 category fire alarm system installed with various smoke / heat & aspirating devices to suit various temperature environments. New IT / Data Cat 6 system installed. New security, CCTV, Intruder alarm, Access control system installed.
